Job summary

Aerotek in Kansas is seeking a Maintenance Production Technician to support a high-volume production facility. The role involves troubleshooting and repairing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and PLC-controlled equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.

Night shifts, overtime, and weekend coverage are required with a strong safety mindset. You will read schematics, perform repairs, document labor hours, and collaborate with teams to minimize downtime while meeting quality goals.

Qualifications

• Trade school or associate degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in industrial/production settings.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting and reading schematics.
• Experience with hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience with pneumatic systems and troubleshooting.
• Familiar with HVAC systems and chillers; diagnostic skills.
• PLCs knowledge and troubleshooting preferred.
• English reading/writing of safety rules and maintenance docs.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance activities in safety-compliant manner.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, and PLC-controlled systems.
• Record labor hours and maintenance activities in designated systems.
• Read and interpret equipment prints, schematics, and manuals.
• Repair and overhaul pumps, valves, motors, and related components.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and production goals.
• Coordinate with other departments to align maintenance with production needs.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures during energized work.
• Document issues, status, and actions clearly for work orders.
