Job summary

Valmont is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment across production lines. You will diagnose troubles, disassemble components, replace worn parts, and ensure safe, efficient operation of hoist motors, pumps, conveyors, and related systems.

The role requires reading blueprints and wiring diagrams, working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems, and performing preventative maintenance while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of maintenance experience.
• Significant electrical work to repair or maintain equipment.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, welding layouts and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as hoist motors, pumps, belts, fans, air conditioners, and conveyors.
• Diagnoses trouble by examining equipment and reading blueprints or sketches.
• Disassembles machines and replaces worn parts as needed.
• Uses power and hand tools; keeps work area clean and safe.
• Performs preventative maintenance and maintains records.
• Supports production by maintaining uptime during non-peak hours as required.
