Job summary

Valmont Industries in Bellville, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot machinery, and fabricate fixtures using welding and cutting. The role requires knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and basic electrical work with an emphasis on safety and documentation.

The ideal candidate has welding experience, the ability to train others, and familiarity with medium voltage and plant systems.

Qualifications

• General welding experience and fabrication of fixtures using welding, cutting and brazing.
• Knowledge of medium voltage (277-600v) and plant electrical systems.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics; fabricate and repair metal structures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and facilities.
• Test, inspect, repair, troubleshoot and re-assemble equipment and systems (cranes, hoists, gear boxes, pumps).
• Lead and train others in welding and fabrication; document labor and materials."
• Operate and install spinners, controllers, and control equipment; conduct basic electrical work.
