Job summary

Amrize North America Inc. is seeking a Plant Maintenance Technician to maintain plant equipment and conduct inspections to ensure readiness.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems and machinery while regularly working overtime. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years’ experience in mechanical repair in heavy industry, with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in mechanical repair, installation, and construction in heavy industry.
• Working knowledge of basic mechanical aptitude and plant maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment following manufacturer intervals and company procedures.
• Inspects equipment condition and operation and reports repairs to Supervisor.
• Performs emergency repairs to address plant breakdowns.
• Adheres to safety, environmental, and company policies; completes required paperwork timely.
• Routinely walks the plant to inspect equipment and parts needing repair or replacement.
• Maintains crushers, conveyor belts, pulleys, pumps, screens and screen bearings.
• Conducts job safety analysis before diagnosis or repair to identify hazards.
• Promotes safety culture and adherence to PPE requirements.
