Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safe inspection, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment in our North American operations. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and support safety and teamwork.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial maintenance, a high school diploma, and the ability to read schematics. We offer competitive hourly pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth within Amrize North America.

Qualifications

• Education: High school Diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or millwright work (cement, aggregates, mining, or heavy manufacturing environment preferred).
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, pumps, crushers, dryers, separators, gearboxes, and rotary equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Fabricate, weld, cut, and assemble mechanical components or replacement parts as needed.
• Install, align, and move mechanical equipment according to engineering specifications and drawings.
• Safely operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks as required.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and communicate findings to plant management.
• Collaborate with production, electrical, and operations teams to schedule and complete work efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with plant clean-up and other support activities as needed to maintain safe, efficient operations.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.
