Job summary

UniFirst Corporation is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our maintenance team. You will perform repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, systems and components, with a Monday–Friday schedule and periodic overtime.

On-the-job training is provided. You will work with hand tools, precision measurement devices and electronic testers, ensuring safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems while following blueprints and

Qualifications

Requires high school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
Minimum 6 months’ experience repairing industrial processing equipment in production.
Must read blueprints/schematics and maintenance literature in English.
Lockout/Tagout experience required; ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain industrial machinery, systems, and components.
Repair, install, and troubleshoot equipment; ensure safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer instructions.
Record meter readings and adjust chemistry for boiler and wastewater systems as needed.
Perform safety checks and routine maintenance; use CMMS for work orders.
Assist with overtime shifts as required by leadership.
