Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our team in California. You will perform repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment and control systems, including PLCs, with emphasis on safety, quality, and reliability.

The role involves reading schematics, following manuals, and using a CMMS for work orders. Expected duties include welding, boiler and wastewater sampling, and occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience repairing industrial processing equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics is required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using observation and precision instruments.
• Assist maintenance personnel with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and associated control systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics and manuals for maintenance work.
• Perform daily safety checks on boilers and related systems.
