Job summary

MSI Express, INC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment in a manufacturing setting. You will work with electrical diagrams, manuals, and CMMS to document work orders and ensure product integrity and safety.

The role covers preventive maintenance, gearboxes, conveyors, PLCs, and HVAC; you will train junior staff and follow safety protocols while supporting production needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly; up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to use ladders and climb stairs.
• PC or tablet competency; CMMS/documentation.
• Must be able to train junior technicians and operators.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical and electrical equipment including motors, belts, conveyors, PLCs, and HVAC.
• Documents work orders and activities in CMMS via mobile device.
• Records damaged or worn parts and supports parts replacement.
• Teardowns and rebuilds gearboxes, actuators, and related assemblies.
• Trades welds and fabricates parts or guards as needed.
