Job summary

MSI Express is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment in a food manufacturing environment. You will follow electrical diagrams, operate within safety protocols, and document work orders in an electronic CMMS.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairing motors, PLCs, conveyors and related systems, and training junior staff. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2+ years industrial experience, preferably in food manufacturing.

Qualifications

Ability to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs, routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, climb/sit.
Lift up to 50 pounds regularly; up to 100 pounds with assistance.
High school diploma required; industrial experience preferred.
2+ years in an industrial setting, preferably food manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on drives, belts, fluids, filters and lubrication.
Document work performed using a mobile CMMS device.
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain motors, pneumatics, PLCs, sensors and conveyors.
Work with 5VDC to 480 VAC electrical systems and relay logic.
Teardown and rebuild gearboxes, clutches, actuators and related assemblies.
Train junior technicians and operators on equipment and procedures.
Complete preventive maintenance, changesovers and corrective maintenance as required.
Follow company safety policies and food safety/quality responsibilities.
