Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a maintenance technician responsible for the proper mechanical functioning of plant equipment and troubleshooting electrical/electronic malfunctions. The role requires hands-on repair, calibration, and adherence to safety standards in a production environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining electrical and mechanical systems, reading blueprints, repairing components, and ensuring equipment uptime through preventative maintenance and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical training is required.
• At least 2 years of industrial electrical/mechanical experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA electrical and mechanical safety standards.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with three-phase 480V equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform strenuous duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment in the production area.
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery to repair or replace defective parts.
• Install power supply wiring and conduit for machines and equipment.
• Prepare maintenance reports and track uptime.
• Read blueprints and diagrams to troubleshoot equipment.
• Diagnose and test malfunctioning machinery with team members.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Weld and fabricate as needed; perform preventative maintenance.
