Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment, tools, and machinery in the plant. The role requires performing repairs on production equipment, welding, cutting, and installing components as needed, while ensuring a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, replacing parts, and coordinating with the Head Mechanic for approvals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow instructions are essential.
• Experience with hand and power tools; welding and fabrication skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment, heavy trucks, and special machines.
• Use hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut and replace parts.
• Test and troubleshoot malfunctioning machinery; coordinate repairs with Head Mechanic.
• Replace faulty parts, electrical components, and motor controls; install and test equipment.
• Keep work area clean and orderly; operate safely under varying conditions.
