Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of production equipment and machinery at the plant. You will work with the maintenance team and supervision to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime.

The role requires reading instructions, performing precise mechanical work, and using a variety of hand and power tools. Candidates should be comfortable in demanding environments and willing to handle diverse tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical or vocational training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals.
• Mechanical aptitude and tool proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
• Operate hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks
• Test malfunctioning machinery, troubleshoot and determine repairs with supervisor approval
• Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards
• Observe mechanical devices and equipment to determine proper functioning or identify trouble causes
• Other duties as needed, temporary or permanent.
