Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee upkeep and repair of production equipment and electrical components. You will diagnose problems, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure machines operate at peak performance.

Responsibilities include inspecting motors and drives, replacing faulty parts, following blueprints and manuals, and collaborating with teams to minimize downtime. Willingness to work in varied environments applies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
• HS diploma or GED, or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational certification preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures and operating/maintenance instructions.
• Willingness to work in dusty, hot and/or cold conditions; lift up to 65 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Replace, install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair production equipment and electrical components.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep machines operating at peak performance.
• Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters.
• Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards.
• Dismantle equipment to access parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Lubricate and clean parts for proper operation.
• Operate production machines to understand capabilities and aid troubleshooting.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, repair manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Other duties as assigned.
