Job summary

jsmcareers in Phoenix seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to uphold mechanical upkeep at our distribution center, maintaining and repairing conveyors, HVAC, plumbing and related equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.

You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect repairs, and document maintenance actions while supporting facility efficiency and equipment reliability across multi-shift coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance with preventative maintenance on material handling systems.
• State licensure or proven knowledge in electrical, welding, HVAC, plumbing, electro-hydraulics, mechanical and electrical drive systems, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a variety of building operation systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, refrigeration, and lighting.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and inspect completed repairs.
• Maintain appearance and integrity of the facility; conduct general construction installations and repairs.
• Safety inspections and documentation of maintenance actions; wear PPE and follow ARC Flash requirements.
• Replaces belts, cleans lubricates parts, patches plaster or drywall, and supports battery changes on power equipment.
• Clear drains, replace fixtures, requisition parts, and keep maintenance logs up to date.
• Ensure safe work practices and comply with company policies; support special projects as assigned.
