Job summary

Amcor in Valdosta, GA seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to install, service, and repair production machinery, packaging automation and plant systems. The role involves troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems and performing preventative maintenance to ensure continuous production.

Ideal candidates read electrical/hydraulic diagrams, can lift up to 35 lbs, and operate a forklift safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment maintaining automated equipment preferred.
• Ability to read electrical and hydraulic diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs production machinery, packaging equipment/automation and attends to building maintenance.
• Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical problems.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Enters and follows up on work orders PEM system.
• Responsible for the safety of yourself, your co-workers, and the environment.
