Job summary

Hyosung HICO in Memphis, TN, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain facilities, repair equipment, and support safe, continuous production of power transformers. The role covers plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, and general groundskeeping to ensure operations run smoothly.

Candidates should have multi-craft experience, basic computer skills, knowledge of tools, and the ability to follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED plus three years’ multi-craft work experience in an industrial environment.
Boiler experience or current Class I Shelby County Steam Boiler Operator License or ability to obtain within six months.
Basic computer skills.
Knowledge and experience using power and hand tools.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
Good eye-hand coordination and ability to read technical information.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing and minor electrical.
Operate and monitor equipment used in transformer production.
Monitor and operate boilers, HVAC systems, and plant support systems.
Assist in installing or repairing building plumbing and wiring for production processes.
Inspect premises and identify repair needs; read prints and drawings.
Adhere to Safety Management System policies and fire protection protocols.
