Job summary

Hyosung HICO, Ltd. in Memphis, TN, is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Technician to perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, and installation tasks for power transformers at our state-of-the-art facility.

The role requires a two-year associate degree in electrical or related field and hands-on experience; strong reading of drawings, inspection skills, and comfort with hand and power tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in electrical or related technical field and 1 year experience in testing or utilities.
• Experience as electrician or service technician (high voltage or utility industry preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient reading of mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience using inspection tools and data entry on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate basic hand/power tools.
• Commitment to 6S, safety, and basic TPM/quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing tasks such as loading/unloading machinery and operating non-CNC equipment.
• Assemble/disassemble parts and align fastenings per specifications.
• Measure parts with calipers and micrometers; document checks.
• Inspect unit quality, document criteria, and ensure conformance to specs.
• Connect, crimp, solder, and braze internal leads and wiring per specs.
• Follow prints, BOMs and work instructions; prepare units for shipping.
• Operate equipment for vacuuming, oil filling, and safe handling of materials.
