Job summary

Hyosung HICO, Ltd. in Memphis, TN is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Technician for PreAssembly 1st. You will perform mechanical assembly, disassembly and installation tasks on power transformers in our on-site facility.

Ideal candidates have a two-year technical degree with hands-on testing/utility experience, strong reading of drawings, and good communication. Benefits include medical and life insurance, vacation, tuition assistance and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate’s Degree in electrical or related technical field; plus minimum one year experience in testing/utilities or equivalent.
• Developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Developed computer skills for data entry and retrieval.
• Advanced ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Ability to inspect work and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing tasks including loading/unloading of machinery and operation of non-CNC equipment; glue, paint, test and fill oil as required.
• Assemble and disassemble parts; align and fasten components per product specs using hand/power tools.
• Measure parts with calipers and micrometers; verify tolerances.
• Inspect and document quality criteria to meet exact specifications and customer orders.
• Follow prints, BOMs and work instructions to select proper components for assembly.
