Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our heavy industrial equipment reliable, safe and productive. The role requires strong electrical and mechanical skills, mechanical knowledge of corrugated equipment, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints.

Attendance, safety, and quality adherence are essential. Candidates should have an Associate’s degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance or a related field, plus relevant certifications or Lean 5S exposure.

Qualifications

• Must maintain excellent attendance reliability.
• Experience with motors, drives, contacts, relays, timers, PLCs, and PCs.
• Corrugated equipment maintenance or related heavy industrial maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform electrical and mechanical work as needed.
• Reading and understanding wiring schematics, manuals, and blueprints.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors, and production machines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize equipment reliability to meet production and quality goals.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, manuals, and blueprints; perform preventive maintenance.
• Support safety and quality standards and continuously improve maintenance processes.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts in a 24/6 environment and accept overtime as needed.
