The Industrial Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability of equipment and overall optimization of equipment effectiveness for all machines involved in Boombox's processes. Technicians will work safely and cohesively, providing mechanical and electrical support for building maintenance, manufacturing equipment, preventative maintenance, and support equipment as directed by the Plant Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of packing equipment
  • Knowledge of boilers
  • Knowledge of bottling/canning processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions
  • Basic knowledge of electricity and safety protocols
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, loaders, unloaders
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Work safely and in compliance with OSHA and company requirements
  • Demonstrate leadership within the organization through all activities
  • Establish and maintain effective maintenance systems to meet business needs
  • Participate in team meetings to improve equipment effectiveness and other objectives as agreed with the plant manager
  • Work as part of a team to complete preventive maintenance tasks and suggest improvements to equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise
  • Assist production with start-up and shutdown procedures as required
  • Inspect equipment for damage and ensure proper procedures are followed
  • Maintain high personal hygiene standards and keep work area clean and sanitary in compliance with GMP standards
  • Willing to rotate between different functions as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all plant safety rules
  • Participate in manufacturing training and apply knowledge to daily duties
  • Update all related Line KPI information and graphs as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
  • Technical school or coursework considered a plus
  • Additional training in related fields or equipment is a plus
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Understanding of safety importance for team members and product quality
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial, flexible environment and perform various tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Regularly walk, stand, squat, and reach overhead
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a professional manner
  • Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Basic understanding of Preventative Maintenance programs
  • Knowledge of sensors and limit switches
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and instruction manuals
  • Technicians must provide their own hand tools; large and specialty tools will be provided by the company
  • Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude with a desire to learn more
  • Training will include HACCP, Retort, and Safety procedures

Education & Experience

  • Experience with forklifts and boilers required
  • Familiarity with pumps, both pneumatic and electric
