Bartlett Co. in Sheffield, IL is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, maintaining, and refurbishing grain handling equipment such as conveyors and legs.

The Basics

Location: Sheffield, IL

Compensation: $25/hr

Days/Hours: This will be a 2 nd shift job, 2pm to 10:30pm M-F. There will be overtime, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various diagnostic and repair tools

Equipment Repaired: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs that move bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands‑on job will include installing, repairing, maintaining, and refurbishing grain handling equipment. This will include a variety of trades: mechanical, electrical and PLCs, welding and fabricating, hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, concrete, painting, etc. Industrial Maintenance Technicians will work extended hours and callbacks on short notice.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
