Job summary

Bartlett Co. in Sheffield, IL is seeking a hands-on Elevator Operator for the 2nd shift (2pm-10:30pm, Mon-Fri with overtime). You will handle grain receiving, storage, loading and related duties to keep operations safe and efficient.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, English literacy, and the ability to pass a background check. Overtime weekends are available and benefits accompany this role.

The Basics

Location: Sheffield, IL

Compensation: $21/hr and up

Days/Hours: This job will be 2nd shift, 2pm-10:30pm, M-F with ample overtime, including weekends.

Equipment Used: Various grain handling equipment, mainly conveyors and legs

Material Handled: Bulk commodities: wheat, corn, soybeans, etc

What you’ll be doing:

The duties of this hands-on job will include grain receiving, storage, handling, drying, blending, and loading of grain; monitoring stored grain condition; and maintaining and cleaning grain facilities and equipment to provide a safe environment for you and fellow Team Members. Grain Elevator Operators will be cross-trained to perform a variety of tasks.

Requirements to be successful in this position:

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check
