Job summary

CompuCycle is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the safe, reliable operation of our processing facility in Texas. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems across the shredding and material-processing operations.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with SSI shredders or similar equipment, be able to diagnose problems quickly, perform preventive maintenance, and drive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or certifications preferred.
• 3+ years industrial maintenance experience; experience with shredding/recycling equipment preferred.
• Direct experience with SSI shredders or comparable shredding equipment highly preferred.
• Proficiency maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair shredders, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, belts, chains, hydraulic systems, and electrical controls.
• Diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and identify root causes of recurring failures.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, rebuilds, and modifications.
• Document failures and repairs; maintain CMMS records and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout compliance are followed.
