Job summary

Schupan is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair plant equipment, including balers, conveyors, shredders, and grinders. The role requires electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic expertise, plus welding and torching skills.

You will work with supervisors to design changes and ensure safety and compliance with ISO procedures. Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, reading and following instructions, and training others as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical education preferred.
• 3–5 years of related maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic background; welding/torching experience required.
• PLC and robotics experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment in department including balers, conveyors, shredders, and grinders.
• Repair and maintain equipment relating to electrical, mechanical and hydraulics by methods such as welding, fabricating, torching and painting.
• Ensure Monthly Preventative Maintenance per ISO procedures and work instructions; perform lockout/tagout and PPE usage.
