Job summary

Standard Motor Products is seeking a Junior Maintenance Technician to maintain the facility, building systems, and material-handling equipment in a safe, reliable condition. The role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of conveyors, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Based in Lewisville, TX, the position is first shift with potential second shift overtime. You will work independently under supervision and use Eptura for work orders, with opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic electrical, hydraulic and related systems knowledge.
• Experience maintaining conveyor systems in industrial settings.
• Electromechanical troubleshooting with PLCs and sensors.
• HVAC/building maintenance certification is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with good communication and teamwork.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Inspect mechanical systems and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Inspect security and fire alarms; arrange repairs.
• Troubleshoot facility equipment.
• Maintain automation conveyor systems.
• Operate boom lifts and scissor lifts when trained.
• Create and close maintenance work orders in Eptura.
• Maintain spare-parts inventory records.
