Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician in Ohio to own equipment reliability and preventive maintenance across our plant. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated systems, and troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment with OEM support as needed.

This hands-on role requires reading electrical schematics, strong diagnostic skills, safety focus, and balancing production needs with quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong troubleshooting knowledge for PLCs, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, diagrams, and equipment documentation.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and root-cause analysis.
• Independent work ethic with teamwork and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and other industrial control systems.
• Use schematics, documentation, and hands-on diagnostics to identify root causes and restore operation.
• Respond to downtime with urgency to minimize production disruption.
• Coordinate with OEM technical support for complex repairs.
• Take ownership from initial diagnosis through repair and prevention of future failures.
• Maintain a safe and organized workplace and follow all safety policies.
