Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for 1st shift in Marion, OH. You will diagnose, repair, and optimize electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment, including PLC-controlled systems, to keep production running efficiently.

You will lead preventive maintenance, improve reliability, and work closely with production and engineering to reduce downtime and improve safety and output. This hands-on role requires responsiveness and strong problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong troubleshooting of PLCs, electrical/electronic systems, pneumatics, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and equipment documentation.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot PC/PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and drives using schematics and docs.
• Respond to downtime with urgency to minimize production impact.
• Coordinate with OEM support for complex repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Develop and follow preventive maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and drive continuous improvements.
