Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech II to join our maintenance team in Indiana. The role focuses on repairing, maintaining, installing and troubleshooting industrial equipment, with a Monday–Friday core schedule and occasional night/weekend overtime.

On-the-job training is provided to support career growth within a rapidly expanding organization. The position emphasizes hands-on maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, blueprints interpretation, and adherence to safety and quality standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance and reading blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision tools and testing devices.
• Assist maintenance staff with emergency and non-emergency repairs.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs and control systems.
• Follow blueprints, manuals, and engineering specs.
• Perform boiler and wastewater testing and adjust chemicals as needed.
• Conduct routine safety checks on boilers and equipment.
• Inspect motors, belts, fluids, and lubricate parts as required.
• Perform basic welding and general maintenance tasks.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS and logs.
