Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our team in Indiana. You will repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot industrial equipment, systems, and components, with a Monday–Friday work week and periodic overtime.

On-the-job training is provided to grow your skills and career within a rapidly expanding organization. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand/power tools, and performing safety checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two-year technical degree preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot industrial equipment and systems.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Utilize hand/power tools and testing devices for maintenance.
• Perform boiler chemical tests and adjust as needed.
• Conduct safety checks on boilers and equipment.
• Inspect bearings, belts, and shafts; perform lubrication and alignment.
• Record meter readings and take corrective actions.
• Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
