Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a reliable Maintenance Tech I to join our Richmond, VA facility. You will perform repairs, maintenance, installation and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, while supporting a safe, efficient operation on a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime when needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two-year technical degree preferred.
Able to lift up to 80 lbs and work overtime.
Read blueprints and schematics.
Must pass maintenance knowledge assessment.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Use hand/power tools and testing devices to maintain equipment.
Ensure safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and specifications.
Troubleshoot equipment problems using precision instruments.
Perform boiler chemical testing and water treatment adjustments.
Record meter readings and conduct safety checks.
Operate CMMS to log maintenance activities.
