Job summary

C.H. Guenther is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment in our Boise, Idaho facility.

You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, program PLCs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant operations. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical school education preferred.
• 5 years’ related experience in automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery.
• Inspect, lubricate, and adjust equipment to meet production needs.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Respond to emergency repairs during manufacturing to prevent interruptions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the production area.
• Monitor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems in the facility.
• Adhere to safety protocols including PPE and lockout/tagout.
• Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records.
• Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize tasks.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours and adapt to priorities.
