Job summary

Sibelco in Ashley, Indiana seeks an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to keep operations running smoothly and safely. You will troubleshoot complex systems and lead a team of technicians, prioritizing maintenance work and coordinating with third‑party contractors.

You will implement and manage the plant's preventive maintenance program, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with safety standards and LR/O procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance environments.
• Hands-on with conveyor systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience using SAP for maintenance planning and work orders.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems.
• Lead plant preventive maintenance program and coordinate with technicians.
• Manage work orders in SAP and ensure proper closure.
• Lead root cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
• Train personnel and enforce safety standards and LOTO procedures.

Job Description

We’re looking for a hands‑on Industrial Maintenance Supervisor who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and knows how to lead teams, solve problems, and keep operations running at peak performance.

Your Impact in This Role

• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems
• Ensure maintenance work orders are accurate, prioritized, and properly closed in SAP
• Manage the plant preventive maintenance program
• Function as hands on lead mechanic to trouble shoot and repair equipment
• Perform basic electrical trouble shooting skills
• Train plant personnel to perform basic maintenance
• Perform periodic preventive maintenance checks as required
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and coordinate internal technicians and third‑party contractors
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive & corrective maintenance
• Step in and support critical or high‑impact maintenance activities
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
• Enforce Sibelco’s safety standards and lifesaving rules
• Lead safe work practices including LOTO, LMRA, and SOP compliance

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong experience in industrial maintenance environments
• Hands‑on experience with conveyor systems
• Experience using SAP for maintenance planning and work order management
• Welding and fabrication experience
• High school diploma, or equivalent, required
• Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
• 2-5 years of maintenance experience required
• Good communications skills
• Basic electrical maintenance skills required, 480vAC/3/60 a plus
• Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Self‑starter who can succeed with limited supervision
• Detail oriented with proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
