Job summary

Strategic Materials is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to join their team in Ashley, United States. The ideal candidate will lead maintenance efforts, troubleshoot complex systems, and manage preventative maintenance programs to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include working with internal technicians and external contractors, performing basic electrical troubleshooting, and maintaining safety standards. Strong experience in industrial environments and familiarity with SAP is preferred.

Job description

Industrial Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Ashley

Job Description

As a Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveyor systems
• Ensure maintenance work orders are accurate, prioritized, and properly closed in SAP
• Manage the plant preventive maintenance program
• Function as hands on lead mechanic to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting skills
• Train plant personnel to perform basic maintenance
• Perform periodic preventive maintenance checks as required
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead and coordinate internal technicians and third‑party contractors
• Plan, schedule, and execute preventive & corrective maintenance
• Step in and support critical or high‑impact maintenance activities
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
• Enforce Sibelco’s safety standards and lifesaving rules
• Lead safe work practices including LOTO, LMRA, and SOP compliance

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following.

• Strong experience in industrial maintenance environments
• Hands‑on experience with conveyor systems
• Experience using SAP for maintenance planning and work order management
• Welding and fabrication experience
• High school diploma, or equivalent, required
• Technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
• 2-5 years of maintenance experience required
• Good communications skills
• Basic electrical maintenance skills required, 480vAC/3/60 a plus
• Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Self‑starter who can succeed with limited supervision
• Detail oriented with proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in a dusty environment
