LARGE MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN OSCEOLA IA IS LOOKING FOR STRONG ELECTRICAL MECHANICAL TECHNICIANS FOR THE 2ND & 3RD SHIFT.

LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WITH PLCS, VFDS, 480V, HYDRAULICS AND PNEUMATICS

PAYS: $28-$33 HOURLY + $0.30 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL

SHIFTS: OPENINGS ON 2ND & 3RD SHIFT

Job Description: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform proactive and reactive maintenance on all production equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  2. Use knowledge and skill to produce equipment and modify existing equipment to meet the needs of the production teams.
  3. Perform the necessary work with a minimum of direct supervision to identify and solve problems.
  4. Use communication skills to keep Team Leaders, Maintenance Engineers and fellow team members informed of their progress.
  5. Practice safe working procedures in accordance with safety policies of the company.
  6. Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  1. Candidates will complete a maintenance assessment during the interview process which is not pass/fail.
  2. Qualified candidates will have either previous relevant experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, or related field, or training at an accredited technical school.
  3. Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  4. Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.
  5. Well-developed interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills.
  6. Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.

Applicants must be willing and capable of:

  1. Standing in one spot on a work stand or at a work station except during breaks and lunches.
  2. Climbing up and down 50 steps to both enter/exit the facility and to/from production floor.
  3. The ability to frequently lift 50 pounds and frequently bend and twist.
  4. Working on short notice, working 8 to 12 hours per day, work several days in a row if our business dictates and work mandatory overtime throughout the week and weekends.

Some shifts require:

  1. Working a day, evening, third, weekend, or 12-hour rotating A or B 3-2-2 shift (Work 3 days, take 2 off, work 2 days, take 3 off).
  2. Working in average temperatures of 35-45 degrees or less.
  3. Working with different types of raw, chilled, processed, or ready-to-eat meats.
  4. Following our strict sanitation requirements, including but not limited to, wearing hair nets, beard nets, and washing hands frequently, no jewelry, no nail polish, etc.
  5. Following our strict safety requirement, including wearing a hard hat, ear/eye protection, vinyl gloves, uniforms, and hand/foot protection.
  6. Practice safe working procedures in accordance with safety policies of the Company.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Welding and working with food processing equipment.
  2. Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  3. Prior food manufacturing or food industry experience.
