Job summary

Global Cellulose Fibers in New Bern, NC, seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Journeyman Level 3 (J3) to work on-site at our New Bern facility. You will team with journeymen in routine maintenance and perform many duties independently, supported by our Manufacturing Training program to advance.

The role requires expertise in Millwright, Machinist, Welding, or Pipefitting, plus blueprint reading, measurement tools, and lifting equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Eligible for employment in the US.
• At least three (5) years of work experience in any two of the following mechanical disciplines: MILLWRIGHT, MACHINIST, WELDING, or PIPEFITTING

Responsibilities

• Install and align machinery per blueprints and lay-out plans.
• Repair, lubricate, and refurbish machinery and components.
• Fabricate parts and install pipes, valves, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot reliability issues and operate lifting equipment.
• Perform field measurements and ensure equipment meets specs.
