Job summary

International Paper is seeking a Maintenance Journeyman Level 3 (J3) for the Mills/Industrial environment in Selma, AL. The role is a full-time, day-shift position with a pay rate of $44.14 per hour, performing Millwright, Machinist and Welding tasks to ensure uptime and reliability.

Responsibilities include installing, aligning, repairing, and refurbishing equipment per blueprints; requires safety training, testing, and ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum high school graduate, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Eligible for employment in the US.
• At least three (3) years of work experience in any two mechanical disciplines: millwright, machinist, welding, or pipefitting.

Responsibilities

• Install new and existing machinery according to lay-out plan, blueprints and drawings.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, dial indicators and laser alignment equipment.
• Repair and lubricate machinery and equipment.
• Refurbish/maintain valves, pumps, gear boxes, bearings, agitators, conveyors, turbines, paper machines, lime kiln.
• Measure for bearing clearance and shaft diameters.
• Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues.
• Fabricate structural materials as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
