Job summary

Jabil in North Carolina seeks an experienced maintenance technician to perform a variety of electro-mechanical equipment tasks in a manufacturing setting. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, repair and assemble equipment, while performing preventive maintenance and documenting outcomes.

The role requires reading/writing English, use of calibration tools, and several years of experience in a fast-paced plant environment. Overtime and on-call work may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred; or equivalent certifications.
• Five (5) to eight (8) years prior work experience in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment required.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment according to plans/manuals.
• Calibrate equipment using general and specialized test equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document it as required.
• May train employees in operation of machinery.
