Georgia-Pacific LLC in Green Bay, WI, is seeking a Repair Shop Machinist to perform hands-on mechanical repair and precision machining in our maintenance department. This hourly role emphasizes safety, quality, and reliability to keep our mill running smoothly.

You will use precision instruments, read blueprints, operate lathes, mills, grinders, and other shop equipment; dismantle and assemble components; identify wear; and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment

Formación

• Two years of experience as a Millwright, Mechanic or Machinist or related field.
• Experience using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, or dial indicators.

Responsabilidades

• Use precision measuring instruments to complete repairs and verify tolerances.
• Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders and other shop tools.
• Interpret blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Dismantle, inspect, and assemble equipment.
• Identify wear and evaluate clearances per manufacturer specs.
• Fabricate or modify components to meet tolerances.
• Assemble and install parts with proper alignment and clearances.
• Maintain, inspect, and calibrate tools and gauges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability.
• Perform lifting and material handling up to 50 pounds.
