Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks a Lubrication Technician to implement lubrication maintenance programs for industrial equipment, with responsibilities spanning field and office work. You will work on pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, and other rotating machinery, using Lube-It and SAP to track schedules and records, supporting reliability goals.

The role emphasizes preventive and predictive tasks, oil analysis, and lubricant selection per OEM specs, aiming to minimize downtime and extend

Responsibilities

• Lubrication Maintenance: Apply proper lubrication practices to pumps, conveyors, hydraulics, gearboxes, motors, and drum dryers to minimize wear and extend equipment life
• Lubrication Management System: Utilize Lube-It, SAP, or similar system to track lubrication schedules, maintain documentation, and ensure proper execution of lubrication tasks
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Conduct oil analysis, grease sampling, and lubrication inspections to detect contamination, degradation, or improper application
• Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Identify and address lubrication-related failures, working closely with maintenance and reliability teams to implement corrective actions
• Oil & Grease Application: Select and apply the correct lubricants based on OEM specifications, environmental conditions, and equipment requirements
• Ultrasonic-Assisted Lubrication: Utilize ultrasonic technology to monitor and optimize grease application, ensuring bearings receive the correct amount of lubrication and preventing over- or under-lubrication
• Filter & Reservoir Maintenance: Maintain oil reservoirs, change filters, and ensure lubrication systems are functioning correctly
• Equipment Inspection & Reporting: Perform routine inspections of mechanical systems and maintain accurate records of lubrication activities
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments as needed to ensure proper functioning of equipment
• Operate lubrication equipment such as grease guns, oil cans, and automatic lubricators
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures related to lubrication, handling, and storage of oils and greases
• Collaboration: Work with maintenance, operations, and reliability teams to enhance lubrication best practices and improve equipment uptime
