Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of lubrication experience in manufacturing.

• Ability to work with reliability technicians and report abnormalities.

• Create SAP notifications for predictive or planned maintenance.
• Adapt schedules to changing plant priorities.

The Kelly Group is seeking an Industrial Lubrication Technician for its Lafayette, Indiana, facility. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience

This position requires the ability to perform these essential duties:

• Maintain lubrication in plant equipment (oils, greases, and graphite).
• Fill up oil drip systems on dryers.
• Take samples from lubricant reservoirs.
• Use oil analysis techniques to identify and troubleshoot abnormalities, lubrication degradation, and asset health. (Spectro Minilab 53) ( AMS Oil View software)
• Filter, change, or flush oil, based on test results.
• Run lube lines to equipment and repair broken lube lines.
• Maintain oil inventory.
• Maintain/organize used oil shed.

Other preferred qualifications sought include:

• Be familiar with all the equipment in the plant.
• Note any abnormalities in machine operation (sound, sight, smell, feel) and notify a reliability technician of any suspected problems.
• Maintain a clean environment (shop & plant), clean up any grease or oil spills.
• Be able to flex schedules based on changing plant priorities.
• Create SAP notifications of discrepancies or conditions that require predictive or planned maintenance for production systems.
