Tradebe Environmental Services in East Chicago, IN is seeking a Fuel Processing Operator for the 4th shift (Saturday - Tuesday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM). You will operate a unit that processes contents of incoming drums, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include unloading trailers, processing waste streams, tracking drum storage, and basic maintenance. The role offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of the hazardous waste industry is a plus.
• Forklift experience is preferred.

• Operate hydraulic arm to secure drums and a hoe to scrape contents into the unit.
• Unload incoming trailers and process waste streams.
• Place or locate material in proper staging/storage areas.
• Prepare material for processing operations.
• Conduct daily forklift inspections and perform basic maintenance.

Opportunity Highlights

• Location: East Chicago, IN
• Shift: 4th Shift (Saturday - Tuesday 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Pay: $20.65 - $21.38 per hour
  • $18.90 per hour Base Pay. Scheduled increase to $19.63 after 90-day probationary period
  • $0.75 per hour Operator Pay
  • $1.00 per hour Shift Differential

As a Fuel Processing Operator you will be working in an industrial environment operating a unit that processes the contents of incoming drums.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Follow all regulations, standards, and internal policies, to ensure Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) compliance and promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Operate a hydraulic arm to secure drums and a hoe to scrape contents of drums into the unit.
• Unload incoming trailers and process waste streams.
• Place or locate material in proper staging/storage areas.
• Prepare material for processing operations.
• Conduct daily inspections on forklifts.
• Perform simple maintenance activities such as cleaning and adding fluids.
• Accurately track drum storage and handle movements on tracking sheets as needed.
• Perform processing operations and other duties as needed.

• Forklift experience is preferred
