Qualifications

• Experience in industrial supply or related industries preferred.
• Experience in inside sales or counter sales or customer service is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Comfortable learning technical products and solving customer problems.
• Basic computer skills to learn order-entry and inventory systems.
• Dependable, organized, and team player.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the sales counter and by phone or email.
• Identify customer needs and recommend products and materials.
• Prepare quotes, enter sales orders, and process purchases accurately.
• Answer questions on products, pricing, availability, and orders.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and provide follow-through.
• Coordinate with purchasing, outside sales, and warehouse to fulfill orders.
• Locate products and suggest alternatives when needed.
• Assist with pulling, staging, and loading customer orders.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and organized showroom.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of the products and industries served.
• Provide knowledgeable, responsive service.
