Job summary

Evonik Corporation in Chester, PA seeks a maintenance electrician with strong electrical and instrumentation skills to perform preventive maintenance, calibrations and troubleshooting on process equipment. This role involves working with DCS/PLC systems, test instruments and wiring installations to support safe, compliant operations in a manufacturing environment.

The candidate will participate in training, work within a high performance team and handle weekend call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of five years instrument and electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment preferred.
• Formal training in Process Instrumentation and Electronics.
• OSH, safety, GMP and quality systems training.
• Licensed electrician preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on electrical, instrumentation and analytical equipment.
• Inspect instrumentation and perform calibrations for accuracy.
• Locate defective components using test equipment (e.g., gauges, meters).
• Install power wiring and conduit for machines and systems.
• Develop and maintain spare parts inventory for electrical equipment and instrumentation.
• Participate in training and work in a High Performance Team environment.
• Maintain DCS and PLC logic systems and modify PLC code as needed.
