Job summary

Celanese in Chester, VA seeks an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to maintain and repair site equipment. The role requires a 12-hour rotating shift schedule and working on a team of 12 across shifts.

You will perform PMs, calibrations, and diagnostics across motors, PLCs, and control systems, using SAP and various test tools. Onsite work at 3600 Discovery Drive is required, with strict safety practices in place.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience maintaining and repairing Electrical & Instrumentation Equipment in Industrial / Manufacturing environments
• Experience reading schematics
• Experience using test equipment and hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance on motor control centers; repairs or replaces motors as needed.
• Inputs data into SAP and payroll systems; researches parts and HR information.
• Maintains calibration records and procedures; performs ISO calibration of instruments.
• Overhauls production and process equipment on film lines, polymer lines, and cooling towers.
• Repairs electrical equipment such as motors, drives, MCCs, panels.
• Tests and troubleshoots electronic equipment and circuits with meters and scopes.
