Job summary

KING AND GEORGE LLC is seeking an HVAC Mechanic / Technician to maintain, repair, install and operate boilers, refrigeration equipment, generators, and air conditioning facilities at Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of related experience are required.
• Experience and/or certification in predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, infrared, ultrasound) is preferred.
• EPA certification per CFR part 82f (Universal preferred) for servicing and recovery of refrigerants is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
• Installation, service, troubleshooting, and repairs including chillers, air handling units, controls, package units, split systems, exhaust fans, refrigerators, freezers, pumps.
• Assess equipment to determine needed repairs and improve efficiency.
• Install refrigeration and air conditioning systems per design specifications.
• Test for leaks and ensure proper operation of HVAC systems.
• Maintain and adjust systems for optimal performance.
• Work on electrical and pneumatic control systems and safety switches.
• Handle plumbing procedures to support system operations.
