Job summary

Star Service, A Fidelity Company, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial HVACR systems. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer-focused service across the Gulf Coast region.

Typical duties include diagnosing issues, performing preventive maintenance, commissioning systems, and documenting work performed. Strong diagnostic skills and clear communication with clients are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience (commercial/industrial preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Effective written and verbal communication with clients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems including chillers, RTUs, boilers, and pumps.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to extend equipment life.
• Start-ups, commissioning, and performance testing for proper operation.
• Install replacement parts and components as required.
• Use building automation to monitor and optimize system performance.
• Respond to emergency service calls with accurate assessments and actions.
• Maintain detailed service records of work, parts, and performance.
• Communicate findings and options clearly to customers.
• Collaborate with project managers and technicians to ensure timely service.
• Uphold safety policies and OSHA standards during field work.
