Job summary

Star Service, A Fidelity Company, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair commercial and industrial HVAC systems along the Gulf Coast. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer-focused service.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, excels at troubleshooting, and can read schematics and manuals. A valid driver’s license and a background in HVAC trade work are preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on HVAC service experience (commercial/industrial preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, controls, and equipment troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to interact effectively with clients and coworkers.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or HVAC trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC/R systems including chillers, rooftop units, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, and related controls.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to identify issues and extend equipment life.
• Conduct system start-ups, commissioning, and performance testing for proper operation.
• Install replacement parts, motors, compressors, belts, filters, and other components as required.
• Utilize building automation and control systems to monitor and optimize performance.
• Respond to emergency service calls with accurate assessments and recommendations.
