Job summary

Quantum Industrial is seeking an experienced HVAC Startup Technician to inspect, startup, commission, and test newly installed HVAC equipment on commercial and industrial projects. You will ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements, contract documents, and industry standards prior to turnover, working with project teams, TAB agencies, and owners to verify performance.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC experience, strong electrical troubleshooting, BAS/VFD knowledge, and the ability to

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required with relevant certifications.
EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.
OSHA 10 minimum (OSHA 30 preferred).
Valid Driver’s License required.
Experience with BAS controls and VFDs preferred.
Minimum 5 years commercial/industrial HVAC experience; startup/commissioning preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect and commission HVAC equipment on commercial/industrial projects.
Verify manufacturer requirements and industry standards before turnover.
Perform startup and functional testing of AHUs, chillers, boilers, and related systems.
Document startup, deficiencies, and warranty information.
Coordinate with project teams, TAB agencies, and controls contractors.
Troubleshoot startup issues and assist with owner training.
