Job summary

SEW-EURODRIVE Colombia Ltda in Wellford, SC seeks a student engineer to join the Corporate Engineering and IG Engineering teams. You will work on improvement projects supporting technical, sales, and shop staff of the IG assembly plant.

The role requires enrollment in an engineering program; 1st shift and hourly pay of $19-$20 depending on housing needs. Benefits begin DAY ONE, with medical, life, disability, and other employee perks.

Qualifications

• Must be currently eligible to work in the United States on an ongoing indefinite basis.
• Ability to follow instruction, written and verbal.
• Must have Mechanical/Technical background.
• Must have SolidWorks knowledge or other software used for the job.
• Ability to read and understand parts lists, catalogs, price books and other technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Technical communications and the use of Microsoft Office software tools to document/support engineering projects.
• CAD drafting (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD) for special parts design or shop tools and layouts.
• Understand important criteria in sizing gear reducers and motors – torque, HP, etc.
• Professional interaction with IG internal customers in the office and Shop.
• Troubleshooting and problem solving.

About the Role

Currently in this position, the student will work in the Wellford, SC facility with both the Corporate Engineering group and IG Engineering team contributing to improvement projects that support the technical/sales and shop staff of the IG assembly plant.

Pay Range: $19-$20/Hr. depending on housing needs.

Education: Must be currently enrolled in an Engineering Program at a University/College

A 10% shift premium is paid for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
