Job summary

Astec is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to diagnose equipment issues and, with on-site technicians, remotely remedy performance problems to restore specifications under the direction of Product Support / Service Management.

You will work cross-functionally within Astec to aid problem recognition, document technical details, and support process improvements, leveraging knowledge of electrical circuits and blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required; college degree in electrical (or equivalent experience) is a plus.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields.
• Experience in the Aggregates, Road Construction, HMA, Concrete, or Combustion Industries.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and electronics blueprints and designs.
• Knowledge of circuitry, pneumatic, hydraulic, and applicable power transmission equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment performance issues, coordinating with on-site techs.
• Contribute to problem recognition, documentation, and process improvements.
• Provide technical documentation to support product improvements.
